Can My Jewelry Grow With My Family?
In many cases, yes. Many compatible Danique family pieces can be updated as your family grows.
Depending on the design, we may be able to add another birthstone charm , engraved name tag , initial charm , or another meaningful family element.
Some additions are simple, while others require the original jewelry to come back to our studio so we can match, attach, and rebalance the design correctly.

01 Why do you sometimes need my original jewelry?
Having the original piece in our studio allows us to make the new addition look as natural and cohesive as possible.
Gemstone charms , engraved name tags , initial charms , plating, and other components can have slight differences in color, shape, size, or finish. Having your original jewelry helps us select and position the new component so it works well with what you already own.
Cascade-style pieces may require additional work. Some cascade necklaces have a center chain that may need to be replaced with a longer one as more stones or charms are added. The original stones may need to be removed and repositioned on the new chain so the updated necklace hangs properly.
02 Do I always have to send my original piece back?
Not always.
Some jewelry additions can be ordered separately, while other designs must be returned to our studio so the new element can be attached, matched, repositioned, or incorporated correctly.
If you are unsure, send us a photo before ordering and we'll tell you what is needed.
03 Can I add more than one child, birthstone, or charm?
In many cases, yes.
You may be able to add multiple round birthstones , teardrop birthstones , engraved names , or initials depending on the original design and available space.
If there is not enough room in the existing layout, the piece may need to be rearranged or rebuilt with a longer chain or different configuration.

04 Will the new stone or charm match my existing jewelry?
We will do our best to match your existing jewelry as closely as possible.
Birthstones, charms, plating, and other components may vary slightly between production batches. Small differences in color, shape, tone, or finish are normal.
Returning the original piece gives us the best opportunity to select a compatible birthstone , name charm , or other component and create a cohesive result.
05 What does an addition cost?
Pricing depends on the type of addition and the amount of work required.
The cost may include:
- A new birthstone charm
- An engraved name tag or initial charm
- Engraving or personalization
- Additional chain or hardware
- Labor and reassembly
- Replating or refinishing when needed
- Return shipping
Simple additions and their current prices can be viewed in our Additions & Charms collection . More extensive reworking may require a custom quote.
06 Can you update an older Danique piece?
Often, yes.
If you have an older Danique necklace, bracelet, ring, or family design that you would like to expand or refresh, send us a photo.
Depending on the design and condition, we may be able to add a new birthstone , engraved name , initial , replace components, adjust the layout, replate or refinish the piece, or suggest another solution.

07 How do I send my jewelry to Danique?
Please contact us before mailing any jewelry to our studio.
We want to confirm which addition or charm is needed and whether your original piece must be returned before you ship it.

The customer is responsible for shipping charges associated with the addition.
We recommend using a tracked shipping method. For valuable pieces, insured or Priority Mail is recommended.
Please keep your tracking information until the package has been received by our studio.
Danique Jewelry cannot be responsible for packages lost before they are received at our studio.
